Scenes and Songs Production
Ages 10-13
REGISTERStudents are given the opportunity to work on curated material from across the canon of popular musical theater. Students will prepare scenes and songs from titles such as Anne of Green Gables, Matilda, Little Women, Tuck Everlasting, Finding Nemo, and more. Throughout the process, students will learn and implement musical theater performance techniques. The class will culminate in a small performance for families during class time.
A wonderful introduction to the world of theater for the imaginative child, this class brings favorite fairy tales and characters to life through music, movement, and pretend play. Children will be introduced to the basics of storytelling and performance, while working together on games and exercises that serve as a fun-filled outlet for creativity.
Students are introduced to the foundation of storytelling and performance through the tools of acting including voice, body, imagination, collaboration, and focus. Students will use role-playing and basic creative drama exercises to bring scenes and stories to life. A great opportunity for students to make new friends while developing self-confidence.
Intro to Musical Theater
Ages 5-6
REGISTERFor the musically inclined student, this class introduces the foundation of musical theater performance. Students begin to learn to connect to emotions of the lyrics and how to tell the story in the song. Students will be introduced to basic music skills, including beginner vocal technique and breath control. Staged ensemble musical numbers will be introduced, and the importance of teamwork will be stressed.
Musical Theater Workshop
Ages 6-8
REGISTERMusical theater performance is more than a pretty voice; it’s acting through a song. Students explore how to interpret and connect to the lyrics to tell the story in the song. Selection of appropriate material for auditions and performance will be stressed, along with basic vocal technique and breath control. Staged musical numbers will also be introduced. Basic reading skills required.
Musical Theater Workshop

Students use theater games and exercises to increase performance skills, awaken creativity and learn to work with others to accomplish common goals. Excellent for students looking to boost self-confidence and positivity, free up their creativity, or for fans of script-less performance.
Acting! Singing! Dancing! Students will participate in a survey of all three skills that encompass a well-rounded musical theater performance, while working with material from a chosen musical. This class will include more of an emphasis on dance than our other classes. Perfect for students looking to sample each area, or for those who wish to bolster their performance skills overall. This class will culminate in a demonstration for families.

Emphasis on script work for higher level readers and students who have completed Intro to Acting level I. Students continue to develop the foundation of performance technique through the tools of acting including voice, body, imagination, collaboration, and focus. Students will take part in technique-based exercises and targeted games to continue their growth.
Musical Theater Production
Ages 8-12
REGISTERStudents will get to experience the challenges and rewards of a putting on a mini musical production in a short period of time. Students will be given scripts and assigned roles. Performance skills like vocal projection, diction, and blocking will be developed through in class rehearsals, along with vocal singing technique. For students looking to gain performance experience or those who love to put on a show. Culminates in a performance for families during class time.

A class for students looking to develop their acting skills. This class will focus more in depth on acting technique through acting exercises, ensemble work, monologues, and scene work. Students will use self-exploration to expand their performance ranges and take on more challenging roles with confidence.
An introduction to acting for television and film, students will learn the basics of the business and develop tools to prepare them for in the industry. Students will be guided through the commercial audition process. Video recording allows for instructor feedback as well as the opportunity for students to view their own progress. Students will also come away with skills for giving presentations, conducting themselves in interviews, and attending a variety of auditions.
Individual attention helps student singers learn breathing and vocal placement in a nurturing one-to-one environment; exercises are used to strengthen and protect the voice.
