CHOOSING A SONG

    1. Choose a song that you love singing. It is always easier to do your best when you sing something you can put your heart into.
    2. Choose a song that shows off your voice. We want to hear everything you can do. Pick a song that lets us know about the things that make your voice special.
    3. Choose a song that is age appropriate. The best way for you to give an impressive performance is to sing a song that you understand. Try to avoid songs that are either too old or too young for you. We want to get to know you!
    4. Choose a song from a musical. Songs from musicals tell a story in a way that pop songs do not. We want to see you tell a story in your performance; make sure it is memorized so we can see that story shine through.

For Auditioners sending in videos: We prefer to hear you sing with musical accompaniment. You may have a live pianist play for you in your video, or you may sing to a recorded instrumental music track. Recorded instrumental music tracks may be purchased online from services like musicnotes.com, or you may find free access to karaoke tracks on services like YouTube. Please do not sing a capella.
