A LETTER TO OUR FAMILY AND SUPPORTERS

We need your support.

Dear Paper Mill Family of Supporters,

On behalf of the board of trustees, staff, crew, volunteers and artists of Paper Mill Playhouse, we want to thank you–members of the community, donors, funders, subscribers, ticket buyers, students, and parents for your stalwart and unflagging support of this beloved theater. For many of you, we know that Paper Mill has been central to your lives for many years. For some of you, decades.

The theater was founded in 1938. It has survived floods and fires. It has survived near financial ruin. It now must survive COVID-19 and its aftermath. Many of you will remember that we nearly closed our doors for good in 2007. It was through the collective efforts of all of you who are considered part of the Paper Mill Family that we survived. And not only survived, but we thrived. The past eight years have proven to be some of the best in our 82 year history. We would not be where we are today, if you all were not here cheering us on. We need you to keep cheering, and to cheer louder than ever.

As you know, we have cancelled or postponed productions, performances, classes, and our annual gala as well. We are still hoping to bring you Sister Act this season; if there is ANY possibility of us opening our doors soon, we will do all within our power and might to do it.

Paper Mill Playhouse today operates with a staff and crew of over 100 individuals. With artists and additional technical support, we employ well over 600 people annually. As you make choices about how to support your community during this time, please consider making a donation to Paper Mill Playhouse by clicking HERE.

Your donation right now will directly support our employees and the artists of Paper Mill. We are working very hard right now to bring you a new season of extraordinary entertainment that will lift you up, and indeed lift up all of the restaurants and businesses in Millburn that support Paper Mill.

We are all dazed and in shock with the circumstances of the world right now. We know you are too. From the bottom of our hearts, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. And that we all heal after this is over.

With love and gratitude,
